Associate Lawyer – Family Law (Collingwood • Simcoe & Grey County Courts) – new call to 3 years’ experience

What you’ll do
- Run a hands‑on family law practice: from first meetings with clients, through to negotiations, mediation/collaborative, and court attendances (including case conferences, motions and trials).
- Draft persuasive pleadings, affidavits, domestic contracts, conference and mediation briefs;
- Give practical, empathetic advice to clients relying on you to guide them through the most challenging times in their lives.
- Partner with a supportive principal and experienced clerks in a hybrid, paperless environment.
- Grow into a partner of a thriving law firm.
What you bring
- Passion for family law and client advocacy; settlement oriented, great listening skills, empathy and insight into the dynamics, stress and challenges inherent in the field.
- LSO member in good standing, with courtroom comfort and strong written advocacy skills.
- Tech‑comfortable (MS 365 / practice tools) and eager to grow with AI to work smarter.
- Based in or willing to commute to Collingwood; ready to travel to Barrie, Owen Sound and other courts as needed.
- A strong team play ethic and appreciation that every member of the law firm team is vital to serving the client’s needs.

Compensation
- Salary range: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience levels plus bonus structure based on collected billings.
