Aalia Ladak
Associate
Aalia Ladak obtained her law degree from City St George’s, University of London, graduating from The City Law School, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021. She has practiced exclusively in family law since 2018 and brings experience from both litigation and alternative dispute resolution settings.
Prior to joining the firm, Aalia spent five years at a downtown Toronto family law practice, where she represented clients in a broad range of matters, including separation and divorce, parenting disputes, child and spousal support, property division, domestic contracts, and complex family law issues. Her experience spans all stages of the litigation process, including negotiations, case conferences, motions, and trials, as well as mediation and arbitration.
Aalia understands that no two family law cases are the same. She takes a bespoke, client-centred approach to every matter, tailoring her strategy to the specific needs, priorities, and circumstances of each client. Whether a matter calls for a settlement-focused resolution or firm litigation advocacy, she is equally comfortable advancing her client’s position in or outside of court. Above all, she prioritizes her clients’ needs and works to achieve practical, fair, and sustainable outcomes.
Outside of her legal practice, Aalia enjoys travelling, painting, and spending time with friends and family. She is also a mother, and brings that perspective to her work in understanding the importance of stability, thoughtful decision-making, and protecting children’s well-being in family law matters. Having travelled to over 40 countries, she values the perspective gained from experiencing different cultures and communities, which informs her thoughtful and grounded approach both personally and professionally.
